Low density cork blocks are larger grain cork carving blocks made from baked cork. Baked cork is natural cork that has been “baked” at high heat and pressure, releasing a natural binder and turning the now expanded cork a dark earthy brown. Low density cork blocks are easy to carve, but will not offer the same level of precision as high density cork blocks due to their larger granule size.

These blocks are often used for carving cork decoys. Cork have been proven to be one of the most effective decoy material available, suitable to both amateur and professional carvers.
